Next 2 Weeks of Practice

Wednesday August 17th and Thursday August 18th we will not have practice!!!! Please keep this in mind!!!

Friday August 19th - Fartlek Workout

Monday August 22nd - 10:00am optional practice for all upperclassman. If you choose to come to this practice you DO NOT have to come to the 3pm practice. 3pm practice will be mandatory for all freshman and any upperclassman who does not come to the 10:00am practice. Hill Workout

Tuesday August 23rd - 3pm Practices begin. Normal Run

Wednesday August 24th - 3pm Practice. Normal Run

Thursday August 25th - 3pm Practice. Tempo 1k's. Team Meeting Post Workout

Friday August 26th - Pre-Meet. Practice done by 3:45 AT THE LATEST!

Saturday August 27th - Berkshire Invitational. Information for this meet will be coming soon!

As Always - Hydration and Stretching at home are important.

Important Dates and Practice Info

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Thanks to all for coming to the parent meeting last night. If you were unable to attend, Coach Frantz emailed out what was discussed last night.

Car Wash - Sept 11 from 10am - 2pm - Drug Mart at Wallings & State. More information will come home as we get closer to the car wash date.

No Practice on Wednesday, August 17th

Picture Day is Thursday, August 11th. Please have your picture order forms is you want to order team pictures!

The Season Begins!

With July coming to an end, it is time to get underway with the season! Mandatory practice begins Monday, August 1st at 10am. Mandatory practice will be Monday through Friday from 10am - 11:30am until the start of school on August 22nd for Freshman and August 23rd for all. Please make sure you have the website bookmarked and are on Coach Frantz's email list. The website will contain weekly updates and Coach Frantz will email with important news and reminders. 

Monday August 1st - Team Meeting and Mile Time Trial

Tuesday August 2nd - Regular Run with Strides and Ice Buckets

Wednesday August 3rd - Regular Run with Abs

Thursday August 4th - Tempo Run (with popsicles after!)

Friday August 5th - Regular Run with Abs

Please make sure you are on time to practice. If a situation arises where you will not be making practice it is essential to contact Coach Meeson or Coach Frantz to let them know!

Good Morning All!

It may be hard to believe but we are less than 2 weeks away from official practice beginning. We have had a record number of athletes show up to our conditioning sessions this summer and the excitement level for what this season could bring couldn't be higher! As we get closer to official practice beginning, here are some general reminders.

1. We will have conditioning on July 19th, 21st, 26th and 28th. There will be NO conditioning on Monday, July 25th due to a coaches meeting with the athletic department.

2. PLEASE complete your physicals ASAP! Do not put yourself in a position where you will not be allowed to practice due to an incomplete or missing physical.

3. PLEASE complete your Final Forms paperwork ASAP! The website is https://padua-oh.finalforms.com/

4. August Practices, beginning with our first practice, will be from 10:00am til 11:30am daily.

5. The Fall Sports Meeting is Monday, August 8th @ 6pm in the cafeteria. Picture Day is Thursday, August 11th @ 11:00am.

Good Morning to All!

I hope everyone has enjoyed the first two weeks of their summer and has been starting to get some good running in. 

Summer conditioning for the cross country team will begin Tuesday, July 5th at 6:00pm and will go until 7:30pm. We will meet right outside the football stadium. Conditioning is not mandatory, but if you are in town you are expected to make every effort to be there.

All of the conditioning runs will start at Padua. Athletes should bring water, a watch and possibly a change of shirt depending on how hot it is expected to be. Conditioning will be every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday starting July 5th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

This is going to be a fun and exciting season, lets get it started on the right foot!

District Week

Hello All:

After a cold (and snowy!) NCL Championship meet we are moving forward to the District Championships. This will be the last meet for all JV runners. If you are a JV runner and do not wish to compete in the District open race please let Coach Meeson or Coach Frantz know ASAP!

This is the most important week of the season - especially for the Varsity Runners. If we are not among the Top 4 Teams or have an individual place in the Top 16 then the season will be over. Hydration, Rest, Avoiding Junk Foods and Sugary Drinks, and Not Getting Sick are very important. Be Smart This Week!!!

The Boys Teams and Girls Teams will be split in terms of workouts this week.

Monday - Boys on the Track: 4x400, 3x400; Girls on Grass 8x400

Tuesday - Boys on the Track: 3x400, 3x300, 2x200; Girls 4 Mile Run

Wednesday - Boys 3 Miles, Girls 3 Miles

Thursday - Boys on Grass: 2x400, 2x300; Girls 6x400 on the Track - Pasta Dinner and Movie Hosted By Coach Meeson! We will be at Coach Meeson's classroom at St. Anthony of Padua School. We should be done before 6:00pm. Movie will either be McFarland or Without Limits.

Friday - Boys 2 Mile Run, Girls 3 Mile Run

Saturday - Districts @ LCCC

11:00AM - Depart for LCCC
1:00PM - Girls Race
2:30PM - Boys Race
3:45PM - Open Race
5:15PM - Arrive Back at Padua

Bus Leaves @ 7:45am

Girls Varsity @ 10:00am

Boys Varsity @ 10:45am

Girl's Open @ 11:20

Boys Open @ 11:50

Next week is the District Meet. There is an open race after all of the varsity races (typically between 3:45 and 4:00pm) If you DO NOT wish to participate in the open race at the district please let Coach Meeson or Coach Frantz know ASAP!
